Government Wins Vote of Confidence After Interpellation

Prime Minister Petteri Orpo's government won a vote of confidence in Parliament on Friday, 26 April. MPs voted 86-69 in favour of the government. Parliament voted also on the confidence of Minister of Social Affairs and Health Kaisa Juuso. MPs voted 85-69 in favour of the minister.

The interpellation, filed by all five opposition parliamentary groups (Social Democratic Parliamentary Group, Centre Party Parliamentary Group, Green Parliamentary Group, Left Alliance Parliamentary Group and Liike Nyt Movement Parliamentary Group), challenged the government policy on hospital services.

Government responded to the interpellation in a plenary session on 23 April. After receiving the reply to the interpellation, Parliament debated the matter.
