​Preliminary government negotiations today resulted in the Center Party, winner of the April elections, revealing it will try to form a new government together with the Finns Party and the National Coalition Party.

Today's announcement was preceded by a round of talks with all parties represented in parliament. These talks were based on the Center Party's 15 questions regarding taxation, government spending and measures to stimulate the Finnish economy.

Actual government negotiations will begin on Friday, May 8th.
